Brad Gillis is best known for
his role as half the dynamic guitar duo of the
chart-topping band Night Ranger. Since Night
Ranger's first release in 1982, Brad's mastery
of the strings and whammy bar have helped lead
this rocking AOR band to the top of the charts
and multi-platinum sales around the world. Brad
himself has almost twenty gold and platinum
albums to his name. Having appeared in over
a dozen MTV and VH1 music videos, Brad is one
of the few guitar icons of our time that can
undoubtedly be recognized by both his aggressively
unique sound and image. His first solo album
Gilrock Ranch produced the top twenty AOR single,
"Honest to God," co-written and sung
by the legendary Gregg Allman. Since it's release
in 1993, Gilrock Ranch has become a benchmark
for guitar virtuosos in all walks of the music
world. His latest release, Alligator, is bound
for even greater success! Brad

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to report to you all that the concert
in Italy May 4th was a sold out show. We had 500 people,
we turned people away at the door and stopped answering
the phones. Davide and Anita from Italy who are the
IGFL Directors (Italian Guitars for Life) did a wonderful
job under the same guidelines as all our other shows.
We had people come up to us to tell us that they were
changed as a result of our show and wanted to be involved.
They bought every GFL t-shirt and baseball cap. The
Hemophilia Foundation in Milan who we funded has asked
GFL to work with many other Hemophilia chapters throughout
Europe and we said yes. We do want to thank Frank
our GFL webmaster, Michael Hedtke, Martine and Also
Bill for their contributions. Special thanks to Muriel
Anderson, Davide and Anita. Raf Montrassio (the father
of Italian guitar) who was just amazing at age 76.
The people in all of Italy just love this man called
Tommy Emmanuel, and rightfully so as he took this
crowd over and blew the roof off the theater. He was
just astounding. I also have been wondering since
the day GFL began who would be the musicians that
would give back their financial honorarium to the
organization we would be benefiting, and it just had
to be Tommy Emmanuel, the only one to date. Thank
you Gina so much we love you dearly. Liz, Tommy’s
wonderful partner sang so sweetly and won the hearts
of everyone from Soave to Busto Arzisio Italy. Please
visit our website very very soon for the Soave two
day Guitar Festival pictures and our pictures form
the concert for the Hemophilia foundation of Milan
Italy. We are humbled by these developments.
"Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it's
thinking of yourself less"
"Together we're making a difference"

do on the guitar. Thank you Gina Mendello and

Davide
and Anita: They will always bring a quality and sensitivity
to the stage. Davide, schooled in music is disciplined
and has a unique approach to the guitar. His touch is
filled with emotional bliss and when Anita takes her
place with elegance next to his side and begins to sing
the audience melts and reforms so as not to miss one
note that flow off her beautiful lips.
This performance is the ultimate presentation Italy
has to offer. We love the fact that Our Italian Guitars
For Life Directors Davide Facchini and Anita Camarella
are also performers representing GFL at our best internationally. |

Guitars
for Life (GFL)
The
purpose of Guitars For Life is to support organizations working for children
with diseases, especially rare diseases and other humanitarian causes.
We also raise public awareness about facts regarding the afflictions of
our beneficiaries.
What
is Progeria - Progeria
is a very rare
terminal condition. From the Greek meaning "prematurely old".
Characterized by an appearance of accelerated aging.
For all those directly or indirectly
affected by the condition, we hope to provide pertinent information, solutions,
and a contact base, amongst other things,
for each of you to call upon as your need arises.
Progeria is a human disorder with many
characteristics of premature aging. Affected persons have parchment-like
skin, become bald or gray early in life, and tend to develop diseases
related to aging decades before they occur in normal individuals. Initially,
progeria was studied as a model of normal aging, but because not all organs
are affected, this is no longer thought to be appropriate. There is, for
example, no evidence of senility or of aging in the central nervous system.
Two major types of progeria occur: the extremely rate Hutchinson-Gilford
syndrome, which has its onset in early childhood, and Werner’s syndrome,
which is unrelated and occurs later in life. A third disease, progeria
with microphthalmia (the Hallermann-Streiff-Francois syndrome), in which
dwarfism is a prominent feature, is also something included.

For Life!
GUITARS
FOR LIFE is an established charitable organization of musicians
from around the world . We are in pursuit of helping children in our community.
That's why we call the performers who donate their valuable time to this
not-for-profit organization: MUSICIANS WITH A HEART!
When these
world class musicians gather for Guitars For Life events, they bring their
talent, their music and true caring for children in need to the concert
stage. The goal is helping those in need.
Those who were
in attendance at this summers Guitars For Life benefit came away feeling
exalted by the fabulous music being performed. Even more impressive was
the undeniable feeling of good will and the solid effort that was exerted
by all those involved with the performances.
